But has anybody ever actually thought about why Stiles is so strict with his dad’s eating? He lost his mother, presumably when he was very young. He spends his time with various dangerous supernatural creatures, who he knows very well could hurt his father. And look at his father’s job? He’s the sheriff, he could die doing his job. And then Stiles? Would be alone. Orphaned at the age of 17. He knows how much danger his father is in constantly, and presumably shoulders a lot of the blame for that - if he hadn’t dragged Scott into the woods that night, Scott would still be human and happy and Stiles’ dad wouldn’t be in constant danger of being used against him. He makes his dad eat such healthy food because it’s the only way he knows how to protect him. He's terrified. He already blames himself for his mother’s death, if his delusion of his father  at Lydia’s party in season 2 is anything to go by, and if his father dies, he’ll probably end up blaming himself for that too. He’s clinging to the only thing he can do to try and save his father.
